Time problem

Hi,

I just discovered that the system time is way off.

System reports 22:21:18 on the third, while time is actually 01:57:08 on the 
4th.

ntpd.conf has:
listen on *
servers pool.ntp.org

ps ax reports two lines:
ntpd: [priv] (ntpd)
ntpd: ntp engine (ntpd)

localtime is linked to /usr/share/zoneinfo/EST5EDT
(I live on the US east coast.)

Any idea why this odd time error?
