My best scenario is to have a local repository where allowed applications
reside. If not you could face a challenging "owned" situation with lots of
insecure applications installed.
Best from that perspective is when you have a Citrix type of setup where you
can easily generate a new host at a "push of a button".
Of course if there are no other important computers hooked up to that LAN and
nothing important resides there then let them rule. Use a remote log over UDP
with no transmit pair and you can at least see what happend if when hacked.
Of course this would result in large amount of data but there are log
checkers that might help.
The biggest challenge will no doubt be a student on a destruct binge. As I'm
sure you already knew.
