Hi Ed:

 I get strange readings too. Like this:

cpu0: Intel Celeron ("GenuineIntel" 686-class, 256KB L2 cache) 97 MHz

 This is for an IBM Thinkpad 600E, running OpenBSD 4.0. The BIOS says
it's a PII at 366 MHz. I am using

apmd_flags="-A" in /etc/rc.conf. Other than the strange dmesg the
laptop works fine.
