Guides to installing pf with TOR & privoxy

Hi all

It is getting toward that time for me to upgrade my OBSD firewall. This 
time I am wanting to be more adventurous and I am wanting to install TOR 
as well as privoxy. Having never done this before, I was wondering if 
anyone has come across any decent guides to doing so, where one does not 
need to be a boffin to work through them.

On a related topic, I have heard that TOR tends to slow down connection 
speeds. Using a DSL, what kind of lag can one expect using TOR and are 
there ways of minimising that lag?
