Sendmail & files

Based on the wording of your question I get the impression you're not  
all that familiar with mail systems.  If my assumption is true, then  
I suggest using Postfix instead.  Postfix is IMHO easier to setup/ 
configure than Sendmail.  You can find Postfix packages on the ftp  
sites or in ports if you'd prefer.
