That sounds like the obvious thing to do. Whether it's Linux
or not doesn't make much difference.
An alternative (a lousy one, perhaps a fall-back) is to have
it send an email containing its current IPA to some place that
the admins can all access ("myhaiticomputer at gmail.com"), whenever
it comes on line. This can be worked into "ip-up" or the Linux
equivalent.
