OpenBSD Linux Compatability

The first package ensures Red Hat compability.
The other package ensures fedora compability.
I have never tried Linux seriously, but as far as I know, each distribution
will have different layout of catalog structure, and so on.
The only thing Linux systems have in common is the kernel, which might be
the same.
(What a mess)

Greetings,
What is the difference between these two packages for 4.3? I'm using the
i386 architecture.
redhat_base-8.0p9.tgz
fedora_base-4.0p3.tgz
Can't wait for the 4.4 release!
